We must:
Speed economic recovery by keeping money flowing in our communities and to small businesses, and building an economy that works for everyone, regardless of race, gender, or zipcode.
Bring balance to the tax code and raise the money we need to protect jobs and help our economy bounce back by asking the wealthy and big corporations to pay their fair share.
Avoid more cuts in spending, because that means firing our teachers, emergency workers and firefighters. Losing all those jobs in our communities will make a bad situation worse. Instead, we should ask the wealthy and corporations who can afford it to contribute a bit more, so the state can keep people employed and help us all recover quicker.
