TELL YOUR LAWMAKERS: NO CUTS TO PROTECT THE SUPER-RICH

  • Washington is facing a $10 billion budget shortfall. Tell legislators to make mega-millionaires and billionaires pay what they owe in taxes!

Washington State legislators are meeting in Olympia to discuss the huge budget shortfall that’s threatening education, housing, health care, and other critical public services.

We must tell lawmakers to NOT to make drastic budget cuts that will harm working families across our state when thousands of mega-millionaires and billionaires could make up the shortfall by paying their share in taxes. Send a letter to your legislators now telling them to rebalance our tax code!

I-2109 was just defeated in a landslide. 64% of Washington voters – 2.3 million people – voted NO to cutting education funding and NO to tax cuts for the super-rich. Washingtonians support rebalancing our tax code by making sure the mega-rich pay what they owe.

Send your email now to urge lawmakers to reject cuts to housing, education, childcare, health care, and more. Tell your legislators to support proposals that make the super-wealthy pay what they owe our communities!

Defeating I-2109 and preventing further tax cuts for the wealthy was huge win, but we’ve got a long way to go until our tax code is balanced. Take action now to tell your elected officials to say NO to massive cuts to education, housing, and health care and YES to ensuring the richest Washingtonians pay what they owe.
