As lawmakers in Olympia debate how to handle our state’s $12 billion budget gap, one thing is clear: We can’t cut our way out of this hole. Luckily, there are plenty of resources here in Washington to fund the programs that we rely on. All we need to do is ask the wealthy to pay what they owe in taxes – just like the rest of us do.
